History
Karl's Great Grandmother, Mary Jane Johnston Betham immigrated from the island nation of Tuvalu (formally known as Ellice Islands) to Samoa to marry into the Betham family. Mary Jane kept her family legacy alive by passing on the Fofō skills she learned as a young girl to her grandchildren, Terri Rotter and Hector Reid.
As a family practice, Fofō had been used in Mary Jane's family and across the nation of Tuvalu and Samoa for generations to relieve pain, stress, muscle tension, and for over all well-being. In passing her legacy to Terri Rotter and Hector Reid, who in turn educated Karl, Fofō's healing benefits and ancient art have been revitalized and incorporated into the modern world through Polynesian Touch Therapy.
